About the project

Project Origins

The project began internally at Science Corp as a custom-built lab automation platform. It plays a vital role in daily operations, driving the execution of experiments such as media exchanges, transfections, plate imaging, washes, and cell passaging.

Over the past year, the software has successfully handled more than 4,000 runs with minimal downtime. To date, we've developed nearly 20 tool drivers and fully integrated 3 workcells.

Our Mission

We believe that off-the-shelf lab automation solutions are prohibitively expensive for many companies, especially startups. Beyond the cost, these systems often pose onboarding challenges: third-party integrators may not fully understand specific requirements, turnaround times can be slow, and the software lacks flexibility for modifications.

By developing an open-source lab automation software, we aim to drive innovation in biotech and make advanced lab automation accessible to all.
